The PCEC Chaplaincy Commission was given the opportunity by AFP/PNP Evangelical Chaplains to host the spiritual retreat and fellowship held at the Christian Development Center Tagaytay City on July 25-26, with 30 chaplains present.
The retreat aimed to foster unity and fellowship among Evangelical Pastor-Chaplains who of the AFP/PNP and to address the spiritual demands of the ministry.
PCEC National Director Bishop Noel A. Pantoja expressed his vision of intensified collaboration among the Evangelical chaplains for a holistic gospel witness and discipleship in the AFP/PNP personnel.
In his homily on personal holiness explained from the Scriptures that holiness is about being set apart, uniquely devoted for God’s purpose and God-likeness even if it sounds weird and not cool for many. He reminded the chaplains to daily fill themselves with the Holy Spirit, spend time with God in prayer, share the Gospel, read God’s word and best of all, make him the first priority.
“Compared to other spiritual disciplines in the ministry, maybe you are passionate about theology, evangelism, preaching, compassion ministry..but how passionate are you in pursuing personal holiness?” Bishop Pantoja concludes.
