Leadership Development
Healthy churches need to have healthy pastors. They must be led by maturing and well-equipped leaders that possess Christ-like character
1. Prayer Commission
Recognizing that prayer is an indispensable ministry in accomplishing the Great Commission, the Prayer Commission of the PCEC, seeks to promote and mobilize prayer and prayer networks, as well as organizing prayer gatherings and movements within the PCEC member organization.
The thrust is to promote and encourage prayer on a personal, family, church, denominational and inter-denominational level, in coordination and in line with PCEC’s goals and objectives, so that the body of Christ may be edified, and the glory of God may be manifested in all the world.
2. Shepherd's Well Transformation Center
The Shepherd’s Well Transformation Center, Inc. is a SEC-registered, non-stock, non-profit organization that seeks the transformation of individuals and communities through the propagation of applied Biblical spirituality. It is founded on the belief that genuine believers in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit are called to be ‘salt’ and ‘light’ in this world, thus serving as catalysts for positive change in the lives of peoples and societies for the glory of God.
3. Wholeness Ministry
WM serves as the equipping network of PCEC. It envisions to see the Church in unity and is committed to the Elijah Task of calling upon God’s people to “restore the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers” and to “restore all things.” Through its various programs, it endeavors to help return soul care to the local congregation by providing them the equipping necessary to effectively extend ministry to the whole person. Its primary focus is to inspire and educate individuals and churches to confess their sins, forgive others, and equip one another for maturity in ministry to effect positive social and community change.
4. Worship Commission
The PCEC Worship Commission or “Proskuneo” focuses on enhancing Christian musicians, artists, and worship teams to make them fully equipped spiritually, musically, and culturally.
5. Theological Commission
The PCEC Theological Commission, with its pool of renowned Evangelical Theologians, provides doctrinal guidance to PCEC’s ministries, including in the applicants for membership
6. Church Health Commission
PCEC Church Health Commission seeks to be on the forefront championing the formation and cultivation of spiritual disciplines among pastors, who will in turn lead their congregations to understand and value the importance of spiritual disciplines in their own lives. There are three important areas to consider that must be given highest priority that if neglected will affect the health of individual believers and the church as well: intimacy with God, engagement with God’s word, and fervent prayer life (John 15:7; John 5:39; Mark 1:35).
The commission clusters the following:
A. The Institute of Training in Ministry (ITIM) is a ministry arm of PCEC in multiplying disciples in local churches and preparing believers for
ministry. Its mission is to equip ministers and ministries for effective service, and it envisions to empower and resource for effective
ministry, one pastor, one church, and one denomination at a time.
B. Mentorlink Philippines serves as the Pastoral Care Commission of PCEC. Formally established in 2002, it focuses on the spiritual
formation of pastors and other ministry leaders through mentoring leadership development. Through mentoring, it seeks to help
develop the character integrity, care of soul, and relational leadership of our pastors and ministers.
C. The Trainers of Pastors International Coalition (TOPIC) Philippines is an offshoot of the Second International TOPIC Consultation held in
March 1999 at the Subic Bay Freeport in Zambales. During that historic event, participants representing one hundred organizations
convened to address how to meet the need for equipping the 2,000,000 shepherds worldwide who have never completed a formal
theological training.
